Elementary Students Learn About Fire Safety

Members of the Whitehall Volunteer Fire Company visited elementary students on Friday, October 14. The visit was in conjunction with Fire Prevention Week, which was Sunday, October 9 through Saturday, October 15, 2022.

Whitehall volunteer firefighter Brian Brooks spoke to the attentive audience of elementary students about calling 911 and what does and does not constitute; the importance of getting low to the ground in the event of a fire, and more. The students also get to see a firefighter in full fire fighting safety gear and then explored fire trucks and their equipment.

Thank you to all of the members who volunteered their time today to teach our students about fire safety.
